2. MOTSI MABUSI

Originating from Pretoria, South Africa, Judge Motsi Mabuse has been dancing for most of her life. However, she took a break as a young adult to study law at the University of Pretoria, but this couldn't stand in the way, from her passion for too long and soon shifted her attention to Ballroom and Latin dancing.

This decision would change the course of her life, as she was competing at championships around the world, including in the UK and Germany – a country which soon became her second home.

In 2007, Motsi joined German version of Strictly called Let’s Dance as a competitor, finishing in fifth and sixth place with her celebrity partners across two series. In 2011, she soon caught the eye of Strictly and was asked to become a judge a position she maintains to this day.

She is known for her ever changing hairstyles and amazing dresses! She is also a very fair and level headed judge who always tries to give positive feedback and encourage the best in the competitors.
